Description
We were promised a dog Park in June 2012 at the Stan Wadlow field --right after the baseball diamond construction was finished.
This has STILL not been done. In fact, the area hasn't even been surveyed nor the post holes, sunk.
If this doesn't get done soon, the end of season, October 2012, will mean that there's nowhere to exercise dogs safely all winter and we will be put off for another year--when we were promised completion at a public meeting.
There are many older and disabled dog owners in this neighbourhood who can desperately use this service.
Please help.
Thank you.

It's almost the end of November and there's not so much as a survey mark on the ground.
And no straight answers from anyone about the DATE OF COMPLETION.

The contractor erected 50 posts [about 1/3 the way around] a month ago--then just left it unfinished.
It's still not done.

Good news! The dog park is in! It's been wonderful.
However, within days, the latch on the inside east gate fell apart. I couldn't find the missing bolt to put it back together. The bolts on all the latches seem to be coming loose. Also, that gate doesn't open properly due to uneven ground.
There are no nearby garbage cans and the ground is mud in areas due to the building of it. The signs forbidding commercial dogwalkers and laying out the rules have not been posted. Fortunately most of the people have been nice about it all with the exception of one dogwalker and a few people forgetting to take their poop bags across the park to put them in the park cans.
Thank you for staying on top of it, Fixer.

Dog park is in. Gates latches on east side were poorly constructed and have been broken since the first week. Garbage cans are in (YAY!), still no night lighting which is a hazard for women walking dogs. There's still no surface put in, meaning it's a mud mire in wet or melting snow and a hazard when iced over.
Signs are up and commercial dogwalkers have left.
So good news and bad news...
