    Heavy metal beam fell off Cole factory onto Salbide Avenue sidewalk, extremely dangerous situation due to age of this building in decline and possibility of injury or worse to passers-by walking in the soidewalk below. Bigger issue is the strong possibility of steel beams falling onto the public in the future as this beam fell directly onto the sidewalk!
  • Thompson Street Newnan, Georgia - Newnan
    Consistent pile of trash has been dumped along the railroad tracks near the Salbide Avenue bridge for years. This is a strong health and safety issue due to the location and I have contacted the City of Newnan code enforcement sanitation division before regarding this issue, only to have the trash remain and be told that it is a CSX Railroad problem/issue due to the location. That being the case, the City of Newnan needs to push the issue with CSX to get this health and safety hazard cleaned up and policed regularly. If the City of Newnan does not push the clean-up issue with CSX, I intend to do so.

    Trees/bushes/greenery needs severe long overdue cutback. Location is Thompson & Salbide intersection near downtown Newnan. Vehicles routines run the light here, causing drivers to stop and look both ways before crossing, even on a green light. Consequently, vehicle drivers are unable to peer down either direction of Thompson to look for cars illegally running the light. Please cut this back soon!

    This issue has been reported to Newnan City Council before and doesn't appear to have been addressed past that point. The drains installed between 9 & 10 Salbide Avenue are not able to handle drainage of heavy rains. Large amounts of water pool onto the middle of Salbide Avenue during rains as a result of the drains not being able to take large amounts of water during heavy rains. Continual problem since we moved here in 2008!

    There is a large pothole located at the northwest corner of Salbide and Robinson St, Newnan, GA, creates a lot of damage to the southbound cars turning into Salbide Avenue as the street is narrow and when another car is encountered the first car is forced into the pothole. Drainage issue here as well.
